Ah, but don't knock dusty backwaters. Dusty backwaters have a lot of charm!

Hey you guys! My mom's next door neighbor has wireless that I can pick up on, but it comes and goes - not good. So I'm not sure why I'm responding except that I wanted to get in on the conversation?

TANYA....HOG-TIE YOUR BROTHER AND BRING HIM DOWN TO THE REUNION WITH YOU. HE MAY SCREAM AND KICK, BUT HE'LL THANK YOU LATER. WHY IS HE GETTING COLD FEET NOW?

I am NOT working, I am checking this site one last time via my parents' dial-up connection. That's it! See you all in a few hours.

For those who missed last nites get together was alot of fun. Cameras were flashing and it was really great seeing those who attended. I have to say Kaaren Johnson looks really great. I had to ask Debi Montanari who she was, and I was in Aaah. We had a great time. Really looking forward to seeing everyone else tonite. :) Elsa Chapa never ages either.

There was also a lot of nudity. For only the first night, I didn't expect that. Probably as a result of all the drugs. Tammy, Kevin, Carla, Meg, and Debi definitely know how to RAVE! Kudos to them (and others) for all the hard work they've put in. As a bonus, there were no arrests.

During Saturday night's performance, please stay away from the Orange Sunshine.

The password is: "Fidelio."

It was so good re-connecting with friends from so long ago. I am looking forward to the next re-union, but will not loose touch with you all in the meantime. So many great people graduated with our class that weren't in attendance, and I can only say that you really missed a great couple of evenings. Here's hoping that we all can be there next time.

The scene at Saturday night's gathering was in marked contrast to Friday night's debauchery. This new mood was serene, even prayerful. After joining hands and singing, shape note style, several choruses of "Will the Circle Be Unbroken," we broke into smaller, more intimate groups and began to share deep, dark buried secrets. For example: At last, I learned who splashed me (a wholly innocent bystander) with water during an infamous water balloon fight in elementary school in 1974, thus roping me into detention along with the real culprits (Jan, it was you!). At last, the five-feet tall, jewel-encrusted First Place trophy awarded to the Class of '78 for its 1977 Homecoming Float resurfaced after thirty years spent, shall we say, "missing." (By a strange turn of events, after Saturday night's reunion, the trophy went missing again! Some suspect that it may be headed for Spain. Any classmates visiting the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao should definitely check there for traces of evidence. Meg can give you directions.)

And so it went around the room until, in our orisons, all sins had been remembered, all trespasses forgiven, all slights effaced. We emerged from the Peters' Social Club just after midnight, awashed and new, gleaming like the future.

...whereupon it was a right turn at the first stop sign past Howard, then left (or right) two or three streets beyond Granada, into a cul-de-sac and through a door where awaiting the unwary was... beer pong! And so the Eternal Register began ringing up the misdemeanors all over again.

May the circle be unbroken, indeed. ;0)

John Campbell - you are ever the enertainer...!
However - I seem to remember a different suspect walking boldly toward the door on Saturday night - hand around one middle section of the magnificent Class of 78 Homecoming Trophy. This suspect does not live in Spain, however I think mucho espanol is spoken in the area he calls home.
Oh well - how grateful we are to have admired our trophy during the short time it was on display. A true testament to the level of excellence that embodies the collective Class of 78...
And what an excellent time it was - even 2 days was not long enough. Thanks everyone for bringing yoursleves and your stories. I'm still smilin'

I had a great time Saturday night, and I am sorry I missed Friday's get together. Thanks to Tammy, Carla, the Peters Bros, and all those who did the work for our class reunions. John Campbell, thanks for the pictures of our Europe trip. Craig Wilcox was funny -your dry sense of humor is great. Mike Gong still has a youthful spirit. I noticed that you girls look better than us guys - some even better than in High School.

You guys are a truly special group, and it was great to see you again. The time in our life is truly short, so make the best of it.

All the best,
Gary Ag.

Thank you EVERYONE for making it happen...your presence there was awesome!

It was great having Class of '77, '79 and '80 Coyote's there too: Krisite Valerosi, Gail Loquaci and Greg Millhorn.

I can't wait for the next Coyote gathering!

2 evenings was NOT long enough! What a great time. I, too, thank the team who put it all together. I do NOT thank John Campbell for the pics of Europe. What delight he took in choosing the ugliest pics of me he could find. WHAT? Those were the best?

I'm biased, I'm sure, but we had an awesome class and I think my dad - rest his soul- would heartily agree with me. How fun to see how successful everyone is and I'd say quite a few have aged quite nicely. I hope the pictures show up in the near future.

I'd like to Thank Tambra, Carla, Debi, Meg and especially Peters Bros. Nursery for their owesome work in putting our 30th reunion together! I had a great time seeing everyone there who were able to attend, and for those who were unable to attend....wish you could of been there! Another Thanks goes out to Agajanian Vineyards, Tony Kirk - Birdstone Winery, and Monica Lasgoity for the wine. I'm not a wine drinking person however I must say I had the opportunity to taste all 3 and they were really "GOOD". Many, many Thank-You's again to all and I'm looking forward to the next reunion - "Cruise". Gary Ag said it best "Life is truly too short and we never know from one minute to the next, I Thank the good Lord for each day we are blessed". Everyone Take-Care, Keep In Touch and Gods Blessings to each one of you and to our family and friends! :)

Wow...I've not been back to Madera in several years and I was blown away by all the changes. Thankfully, other than a few pounds, gray hairs, and maybe a wrinkle or two, none of us had changed. We all seemed like the same fun loving, crazy group of "Super 78', Together Forever" that we always were. I've never been happier to see a group of people that have meant so much to me over the years. I thought we all looked fabulous and just seeing all of your faces did my heart so good. I loved high school, and now after seeing all of you I know why. I was surrounded by some very fabulous people who have gone on to do fabulous things. Sounds like most of us have been blessed with wonderful lives and family and I want to thank each and every one of you for all of my memories. Thank you so much Tambra, Carla, Meg, Debi and Kevin & Kurt for doing such a terrific job in pulling us all together. I hope I can make the next one!

I must admit, I was pleasantly surprised.
The "TEAM" was under a bit of preasure to make
this the "event of the season."
'79 & '80 will be hard pressed to compare.
Some of these characters I see on a fairly regular basis,
so in my eyes they have changed very little. It was nice
to see that everyone else changed very little. Elsa hasn't changed at all.(the exception)
I had a great time. I had a bunch of drink tickets left at last call, so I used them. Needless to say I was moving slowly on Sunday. I'm looking forward to the next one.See you guys in a few.......

Is there al list of those that attended?
If we can post that list, maybe it would increase the
next list Just a thought.....

Debi Montanari (Valorosi)

Thanks to all of you that attended. I hope everyone had a great time. I know I did. It seems like just yesterday we were all hanging out together on campus. Can't believe it has been 30 years!! I really enjoyed catching up with everyone , it really brought back some wonderful memories and created some new ones. I hope that we will all take advantage of this wonderful website and keep in touch!

To those that couldn't attend, you sure missed a great time and I hope to see you at the 35th!
