After a 25 year battle with cancer, Patty passed away in 2003. She was in the middle of building her dream home and left the final decisions in the hands of her loving husband. He honored her dream and now lives in a beautiful home - If you have any thoughts or comments for Patty's family you may send them to my e-mail and I will see they receive them. Cheryl
Patty and I go WAY back...I will always cherish the memories of the camping trips with her family, swimming in her pool, and the silly times with Gayla and the boys from Lodi!!!! Thank God Patty is no longer suffering. She was a trouper ALL the way and I truly miss her laugh!
I remember Patty in High School, had her in P.E. A couple of years prior to her passing, we had talked about our cancer and all the testings we had to go through and she had encouraged me to participate in the "walk for the cure" - relay for life, being that I was a cancer survivor. Although she endured more than what I had gone through and we had different types of cancer she never showed her pain but always had a smile even on her bad days. I was always dreading test days (every 3 months) and shared that conversation with her. I think back to those talks with her, I was being greedy and know that here I was complaining but didn't realize how blessed I really was on the long run, to be a survivor and now cancer free/in remission. I couldn't have kemo or radiation, and she had too and she never complained. I was sooooooo sadden of her death. I will forever remember her encouraging words she gave me and cheerish the things we shared. "Thank You Patty....You're Truely One of God's Angels!"
