After a bachelors and masters at BYU, I worked in local government for ten years. I was City Manager in South Jordan, Utah in 1998 when I left and formed a land development company. We did that for 12 years and built up a nice real estate portfolio until that got old. We liquidated most of our holdings, opened up an antique store, got lucky with some investments and then got bored and went back to being a City Manager in Farmington, Utah in 2010 until I retired in 2018. We spend summers in Farmington or in our RV traveling. We have visited 49 of the 50 states but still need to get to North Dakota. The past few summers we have been Camp hosts in our RV at an LDS Church Camp near Park City. We spend the winters at our second home in St. George, Utah. I had a pretty bad bike wreck in Moab a few years ago, broke a lot of bones, had surgery and spent half a year in rehab before I could ride again.
We travel a lot. My wife and I have been on over 25+ cruises. Besides the cruises we have visited Argentina, Mexico, Canada, Honduras, Haiti, Costa Rica, China, Italy, Tunisia, Taiwan, Ukraine, Germany, Greece, Croatia, Turkey, Austria, Australia, New Zealand, France, Portugal, Norway, England, Denmark, Ireland, Switzerland and most of the Caribbean Islands. I really got into scuba diving a few years back and try to dive a few times a year.
My wife who is the best thing in my life and she is going to heaven because she puts up with me. I am not so sure where I will end up.
Four grandchildren are the joy of my life but I wish I saw them more often.
I have still have three children (young adults) who are not married so I am hopeful we will get some more grandkids. I am so thankful for all the blessings I have received and very grateful for my testimony of Christ's role in those blessings.
Hobbies include gardening, pickleball, bike touring, snow skiing and spending time on a Houseboat we have at Lake Powell or in our RV. We try to do a few extended RV trips a year.
