OMG...I can't believe he's gone. :'(
I can remember Rene and his cute sister Lydia
from way back to the 60's at Monroe School.
(We were, I think, in first, second, and third grades)

Too many good people are leaving
us much too soon at such a young age,
especially our friends and fellow alumni.
But I know in my heart and soul, we'll see them
(including Rene) in the Promised Land when
it's time for us to answer Great Spirit's call.

R.I.P. Rene.
When it's time for me to answer
Great Spirit's call, we'll catch up
on some old times in the Promised Land.

Rene was one of the sweetest guys in school...We were friends...I was crushed to learn of his passing from his brother, Roy.

Very sorry to hear of Rene's passing.  I knew Rene from our mutual membership on the Madera High wrestling team.  Rene was an even tempered fellow.  I do not recall ever hearing his voice raised or a cross word.  A good, hard working athlete too.
